Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you located?

Our home studio is based on the Central Coast in Hamlyn Terrace, NSW.

Do you only teach professionals or certain age groups?

Not at all, we work with a wide variety of singers and encourage anyone who wants to learn to sing, improve their current vocal ability or rediscover their voices to come in for lessons. You’re never too old to learn to sing and we love having little ones in to start introducing music early on. Our student’s range from 5-60+.

I know you teach all ages, but I’m worried my child is too young?

Every child varies when it comes to learning a new skill, our main requirement for lessons with young students is that they’re able to remain engaged for a 30 minute lesson, and this isn’t always age based. This is why we do a trial lesson to gauge your child’s learning style and abilities and take it from there.

What should I bring to my lessons?

  • A water bottle

  • A notebook

  • Display folder for lyrics

  • A phone/tablet you can record your lessons on.

  • Any sheet music/backing tracks you have that you’d like to use (unless teacher already has a copy)

  • Wear comfortable clothes. There’s many lessons where we work through breath work and movement so comfortable clothing is key.

Can I use the Creative Kids vouchers with you?

Of course you can. We’re a registered Creative Kids provider which means any eligible vouchers you have can be used towards your lesson fees. To redeem it with us, send through the voucher number along with your child’s DOB for processing. We do not accept Active Kids voucher, as they are a seperate initiative.

Are there any additional costs?

Any sheet music or professional instrumental tracks that need to be purchased will be charged to you. This will be for performances or if you decide to get a professional instrumental track instead of using YouTube.

Do you offer group lessons?

Currently, no. Our studio space isn’t set up for group lessons.

Are there any sibling discounts for multiple siblings enrolled in lessons?

Yes, we offer a 15% sibling discount. The first child pays the full fee and any subsequent children enrolled will be eligible for the discounted rate.

How involved should parents be in their child’s singing lessons?

We encourage all students to practice and sing at home, and practice is key to progression. The best way parents can incorporate this at home is to make music a part of everyday life. Singing their songs with them at home, encouraging them to do mini performances once they’ve learnt a new skill/part of the song and doing the vocal exercises they’ve been sent home with together are all fantastic ways to welcome in practice routines.

Can I sit in on my child’s lessons each week?

Our studio isn’t suitable to have parent’s sit in each lesson so we kindly ask parents to drop their children off and wait in the car for them to finish their lesson. Parents are welcomed to sit in on the first lesson as a meet and greet oppourtunity and to see how our lessons work.
